Cathedral Horticultural Studio delivers unique, tailored gardening advice and a safe pair of hands to help you sustainably create and maintain your ideal outdoor space at no effort whatsoever.
Based in Wells and serving surrounding Somerset areas including (but not limited to) Cheddar, Midsomer Norton, and Shepton Mallet, we create professional planting schemes, kitchen gardens, cut-flower beds, and more, for a wide range of outdoor spaces. We also offer regular support and maintenance services to keep your space in pristine condition.
Cathedral Horticultural Studio works across a large area of Somerset spanning as far south as Street, as far west as Cheddar, and as far east as Nunney. Our service area also reaches a portion of Bath and North East Somerset (BANES), including the Midsomer Norton and Radstock areas.
If you're not in our service area but are still interested in our services, please get in touch to see if we can accommodate your request - we currently work with some clients as far as Wiltshire.

We're proud to be part of one of the most naturally beautiful parts of the country. Our mission is to preserve this beauty, along with its diverse range of wildlife, through our work.
We endeavour to be 'net positive' as a business, ensuring the environment is considered in everything we do. Wildlife-friendly planting is one of the simplest ways to provide for local creatures, and we'll always reflect this during consultations and in our planting schemes.
We're also strictly against the use of pesticides and inorganic fertilisers, and instead promote less harmful and more considerate alternatives.
Where appropriate, we'll supply you with plants from our client-exclusive nursery. These plants, grown from locally harvested seeds, or propagated from our own plants, are mindfully tended to and grown without chemicals in peat-free compost.
Having our own nursery helps cut down on carbon emissions associated with production and transport, and also means your plants will be pre-adapted to Somerset's unique microclimate so they'll thrive in your garden.
In an era dominated by AI and machinery, we believe a truly safe pair of hands has become something of a rarity. Every single photo on our website and social media channels is of our own work, so you can get a real impression of what your garden could actually look like.
We opt for a low-machinery approach to our work. Not only does this approach also contribute to our goal of being net positive by way of reduced emissions, but it's also kinder on your (and your neighbours') ears.
